About TEP

Thompson Educational Publishing (TEP) was incorporated in Ontario in October, 1989, giving us over 25 years of experience providing quality books and supplemental materials to instructors and students across Canada at schools, colleges and universities.

We are committed to advancing the cause of public education and to making the Canadian education system work better for our kids. TEP has now published over 170 titles, many of which have multiple editions.
Whenever possible, TEP engages first-time Canadian authors in an attempt to promote Canadian culture and authorship in the publishing industry.

Over the years, TEP has had the opportunity to work very closely with professional associations of teachers and professors across the country. At the school level, we have partnered with Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada), Ontario Physical and Health Education Association (Ophea) and the Ontario Business Education Association (OBEA). As well, we are in close contact with most of the provincial health and physical education associations across the country, conducting product in-services and displays at their respective provincial conferences.

TEP also formed a working partnership with instructors from the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education (CASAE) and the Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) to establish Canadian resources in adult education and in social work for college and university students across Canada. TEP has also established a relationship with the Aboriginal community through our extensive publication of aboriginal studies texts.

TEP plays an important role in disseminating Canadian-authored content in the main areas mentioned above. Our commitment is to continue to develop and provide high quality Canadian-authored resources for schools, colleges, and universities across the country. An important overall objective for TEP is to help raise the standards of educational publishing. We view ourselves as partners in the public educational system, responsible for creating and delivering the best learning materials for teachers, students and communities.

TEP is a proud member of the Association of Canadian Publishers (ACP) and the Ontario Book Publishers Organization (OBPO). Over the years, we have worked hard to develop strong, lasting partnerships with the following organizations and associations:
