Mission Statement
Our mission is to ensure students have access to high-quality classroom resources that satisfy curriculum guidelines and meet the needs of Canadian teachers.
What We Stand For
Investing in Canada. We are committed to building communities and developing quality learning resources to strengthen our public education system.
Strengthening local communities. Education is a provincial responsibility reflecting the diversity of lifestyles across the country. We are committed to creating a revenue base to support long-term provincial curriculum development.
No course is too big; no course is too small. It is important to develop learning resources for all courses and in all program areas. Our teachers and kids deserve no less. We are committed to working with you to find ways to develop resources for the smaller enrollment programs as well as the larger ones.
Nothing is too good for our teachers and our kids. Quality resources are the first priority. Learning resources that work in the classroom make a difference for teachers and kids. We are committed to developing these quality resources with you and your teachers.
Harnessing the power of new media. The world of learning is changing. We are committed to harnessing the power of the electronic media for education.
Reinvigorating teachers as educators. Successful curriculum implementation depends on making the extra effort to engage local teachers. We are committed to engaging teachers throughout the entire process of creating quality resources in order to ensure success.
Patience, consistency, and long-term support. Producing learning resources is only half the battle. Continuous in-service, teacher training, and classroom support is essential. We are fully committed to providing curriculum support over the long term.
"Think national, act local". We are part of the Association of Canadian Publishers, representing 130 Canadian-owned publishers from coast to coast. We are committed to working closely with local writers, editors, designers, and printers in order to encourage community growth and development.
It's all about relationships. It is all about working together and developing partnerships for the long term. We are committed to advancing Canadian public education and helping to make it work better today and for future generations.
