Physical and Health Education... A Perfect Match!

Developing all aspects of well-being

The new PHE curriculum aims for students to develop a personalized understanding of what healthy living means to them as individuals members of society in the 21st century and to build their knowledge, skills and understanding for life-long physical and mental health.

Teachers play an essential role in providing students with a contextually relevant learning experience, one that speaks to their needs, interests and passions. It is up to us to help enhance students' learning experiences by providing accurate, up-to-date information, that is created and sourced by health professionals; ultimately leading students to a deeper understanding of their physical,
emotional and mental well-being.

Teacher Training and Professional Development

A critical component to the successful implementation of the new curriculum

For the first time, British Columbia has combined Physical and Health Education into a single course to provide students with a more comprehensive focus on healthy living.
