Regular activity for girls and women is associated with enormous physical, mental, social and emotional benefits. Yet we can’t seem to reverse the declining participation rates from sport and physical activity among girls and women. Dr. Vicki Harber will discuss key features of creating a positive sport and physical activity environment for girls and women and discuss strategies to implement in your school and community.

Dr. Vicki Harber Dr. Vicki Harber is a Professor in the Faculty of Physical Education & Recreation at the University of Alberta and a member of the Canadian Sport for Life Leadership Team. Dr. Harber has a broad background in sport, was a member of the Canadian Olympic rowing team and is a published author.
