The Flipped Classroom: Not Just for Math and Science! Flipping Your PE Classroom

Ted Temertzoglou

Overview

In this session, TEP's very own Ted Temertzoglou shows how the flipped learning model can be applied in physical education classes with great success. Using Healthy Active Living (HAL), he'll show how enabling students to learn about a new topic with content that they can consume at their own pace, and then using the gained class time to review and apply learning, can flip your PE classroom on its head.

A former H&PE teacher for over 20 years, currently Ted Temertzoglou is the V.P. of Teacher & Student Success at Thompson Educational Publishing. During his time at TEP Ted has been the lead author on several groundbreaking H&PE textbooks including the Trillium listed Kinesiology: An Introduction to Exercise Science. Ted has worked tirelessly, delivering positive keynote addresses and workshops to teachers the world over.
